National Maritime Museum

The sea has always played an extremely important role in British history as a means of both defense and expansion, and this museum celebrates the "island nation's" seafaring heritage. Exhibits include everything from the earliest coracles (primitive hollow canoes) made from wood and leather, through early models of Elizabethan galleons to modern cargo, passenger and naval ships.
