This is a treasure in a lavishly restored group of 13th-century timbered buildings. George Thibaut runs a museum-caliber inn furnished with polished antiques, cupboards with pewter plates, iron lanterns hanging from medieval beams, glistening refectory dining tables, and stone fireplaces. The restaurant is run in association with Le Manoir, where guests are accommodated. The food is exceptional, especially when it is served with the local wine, Montagnieu, a sparkling drink that are been compared to Asti-Spumante.
