Lagos

Lagos is an atmospheric town encircled by massive 16th-century walls that effectively shut out the 20th century, including the western Algarve's biggest concentration of hotel developments to the west of the town. Holidaymakers tire of the beach and drift into Lagos to discover a maze of cobbled streets, too narrow for cars to penetrate.
